Field’s team designed, certified, fabricated, and installed the upgrades in-house. The first part of the project required enlarging the nose of the Sabreliner to mount two separate radar systems for testing. A fairing was developed to reduce drag, and Field designed a new radome. The second modification was the installation of a STARLINK antenna. Field’s engineers designed the mounting provisions for the antenna which involved creating a new fairing to fit the small diameter of the aircraft.
“We’re proud to leverage our extensive experience to deliver custom solutions that meet our client’s specific operational needs,” said John Taylor, President of Field Aerospace. “Completing these Sabreliner modifications required a high level of design and fabrication skill, which our team delivered seamlessly.”
