CRJ Corporate Shuttle

Luxurious VIP modification of the Bombardier CRJ200 Series aircraft.

The basic aircraft platform for the regional jet corporate shuttle interior is the Bombardier CRJ200 Series aircraft, also known as the Challenger 850. This is a civil certified transport aircraft capable of seating configurations of up to 50 passengers in the standard all economy class.

This custom version of the aircraft is equipped with a sixteen (16) passenger mixed-class interior configuration with spacious VIP and Business Class cabins.

Luxurious, berthable VIP seats, upholstered in supple leather, provide seating for four (4) passengers in the VIP cabin. Custom side ledges extend the length of the VIP cabin on both the LH and RH sides with fold-out tables between the club-configured VIP seats.

Four (4) rows of Business Class seats upholstered in leather with in-seat power outlets for laptop charging provide seating for sixteen (16) passengers with single seats on the LH side of the cabin and double seats on the RH side.

Class divider partitions covered in wood grain laminate are installed between the forward entry/galley area and the VIP cabin, and between the VIP cabin and the Business Class cabin. The forward class divider includes a pocket door which recesses into the LH partition when opened. The mid-cabin class divider includes a fabric aisle curtain which recesses into the class divider partition when stowed.

An In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) system with large-screen LCD monitors mounted on the bulkheads in both the VIP and Business Class cabins displays a variety of video entertainment including a moving map system for visual flight information. Wireless headphones provide passengers with audio entertainment while allowing them to move freely about the cabin. A satellite communications system provides voice, data and fax transmission capability from the VIP cabin. Custom-designed cabinets house the IFE system source equipment, satellite phone handsets and additional power outlets.

The main interior shell from the commercial configuration of the aircraft is retained including sidewall panels, headliners, door surrounds, etc. The existing overhead bins in the VIP cabin are removed and new reduced-profile "micro-bins" are installed to provide increased head room and spaciousness to the VIP cabin. The same "micro-bins" are installed on the LH side of the Business Class cabin to accommodate the head clearance requirements as a result of the offset aisle created by the 1+2 seating. Existing monuments (lavatory, galley, wardrobe, bulkheads, entrance compartment) are refinished with new wood-grain laminate to complement the décor of the VIP cabin.

Plush, handmade beige and blue wool carpet with silk, installed throughout the passenger cabin, completes the custom interior conversion.
